Together with the RFI-240, the RFI-260 VN sleeper for the 60 UNI rail is the standard sleeper on main FS national railway lines.

In accordance with the most recent European standards (UNI EN 13230-1 and 2), it allows the interconnection and interoperability of the FS lines with other European railway networks, as well as the transit of full load trains of 25 t per axle and speeds up to 250 km/h.

The RFI-260 VN sleeper is equipped with the pre-assembled Vossloh W14 type fastening system, approved by the RFI and already used throughout Europe for standard and high-speed lines, guaranteeing stability, reliability and operational safety.
